'Tis the season

Seasons greetings! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas with their friends and family.
My trip home was a long one....2 trains, one ferry and one massive hangover. I wasn't banking on airports in London! It was snowing in Dublin when I arrived which surprised me. I've never had a white Christmas at home. It was so nice to chill out at home and watch Christmas movies and repeats of Only Fools and Horses.
We spent Christmas Day at my aunts house in Co.Meath. She has a huge family, so it was madness out there with all the grand kids opening presents and shouting over each other!
I spent most of my time with Leroy the dog playing in the snow......

I have to say, I'm a total sucker for animals. If I wasn't working in Fashion PR, I'd work in a zoo or animal shelter.
It was absolutely beautiful at my aunts. I couldn't get over how much snow there was, and the low winter sun made all of the fields around her house sparkle.

It was so nice to be out of the "Big Smoke" and just breathe in clean countryside air!
I received some lovely presents this Christmas and the usual new pyjamas and new socks! But hey, don't knock socks and pyjamas at Christmas!!! I love getting new socks!

Right, enough about socks......on to my other gifts. Got these bad boys from my boyfriend!

A lovely pair of Onitsuka Tigers.....drool. I loves me a pair of brightly coloured trainers.

One of my all time favourite perfumes.

Also got this beautiful onyx ring. The bigger the stone the better for me! If I don't have any rings on I feel naked.

Hope Santa brought you everything you wished for! Now on to NYE......and the lovely hangover that comes on January 1st.

The fanciest frog you ever did see

I love this little frog. He sits just fine on my hand.
He's a prince in disguise!

In a generous mood!

Hello all! I've had this Lipsy i phone cover floating around my room and I want to give it way. Either that or it's going to the charity shop. You see I don't have an i Phone.....instead I have a "Crackberry"! So, if you would like this cover, just tell me your favourite Christmas memory. You don't need to add my blog or mention me to anyone else, just a good old fashioned happy Christmas memory!

So if this sparkly little number tickles your fancy, send your stories over!

Crazy Christmas Shopping

I decided to brave the obstacle course that is Oxford Street the other night. If any of you aren't familiar with Oxford Street, it is a BEAST! Thousands of people rushing around, so you can imagine what it's like during the crazy Christmas period. I think you have to be a little bit mental to decide to take on Oxford Street at this time of year!
So the other night, while I was feeling a bit crazy, I decided to brave the crowds...........and this is what I found!

Was unsure of all the leather that's around, but I've come around to it. I think I was a tad afraid of it because in my mind only "skinny minnies" can get away with wearing it. These shorts however have a nice relaxed loose fit and I'll wear them with black opaques.

Now I'm not normally one for pink or girly things. This skirt however, caught my eye straight away! I'll wear it high on my waist with black tights and these wedges....
I think these boots will give toughen up the look a bit, make a bit less "girly"! Also, florals are going to be big in 2011 as we all know, so this skirt will see me right through the Spring/Summer season too.

Got this cosy little jumper too. I think it will look great tucked into a high waisted skirt or with my skinny jeans. It's quite plain, so I can add a little brooch to jazz it up!

Little Gifts

We had our work Christmas do the other night, which of course involved some Secret Santa gifts!
I received this beautiful little 2011 diary from Liberty! Hopefully it will help me organise my life a bit better in the new year :)
Also received this little book. Lots of sweet, funny and wise words in here!

I still haven't started my Christmas shopping for friends and family.......eeeeeeek!
Any suggestions!!!!? Please send suggestions :)

Would you Adam and Eve it?!

If the title of this post confuses you it's because you aren't familiar with Cockney rhyme and slang. Would you Adam and Eve it? = Would you believe it?

The reason why I chose this title is because of the following items....

My everyday wedges. They go great with skinny jeans, denim shorts, fair isle knit dresses......
And they are comfortable to walk in. Bonus!
How gorgeous/sexy are these?! I love the two tone detail. It's so simple but it looks amazing.

I'm a little bit obsessed with Snoods at the moment! I have another one in BLUE. They are so handy and will definitely keep me snug as a bug this Winter.
I bought this belt large so I could tie it around my waist when I wear my grandad style cardigans. You won't even believe how much it cost!!! I shall reveal all at the end :)

I have a thing about deep berry lips at the moment. Maybe it's because Autumn/Winter is my favourite season and it's such a warm colour.
Hopefully I can pull it off even though I have fair skin. Well if Ms Lowe can do it maybe I won't end up looking like a total goth.
I love the shade of this lipstick and the slight shimmer in it. It's got a great name too..."Royal Raspberry"!
A perfect shade for this time of year and it will disguise my red wine lips perfectly at parties!! I have to say that I am a massive fan of Barry M. They every shade you could imagine in their nail polishes, lipsticks and eyeshadows.

So back to "Would you Adam and Eve it?". The wedges, snood and belt are all from Primark. Yes P.R.I.M.A.R.K.
I could not believe that Primark would design a pair of wedges like the two tone ones above.
Lace up wedges: £18.00
Suede/Faux leather wedges £20.00
Red Snood £4.00
Leather belt (Yes REAL leather) £2.00

As I'm bottom of the food chain in PR, I don't have the largest salary, so I'm on a tight budget! Shops like Primark and H&M are great for me, although sometimes you need to enter their stores with a bucket load of patience and a calm head! Especially the Primark in Marble Arch....absolute MADNESS!!!

Think I'll take my suede/faux leather wedges out tomorrow for a spin :O)
