Got my nails did!

We had a press day yesterday and today in The Savoy Hotel in London for some of our clients. One of our clients is called NAIL ROCK. Call me biased or whatever you want, but I LOVE this product!!!! Jo (she is one of the founders of Nail Rock) kindly gave me a little manicure and dressed my nails up with a jazzy pink leopard print.
You'll have to excuse the quality of my pictures, I took them on my Blackberry. Oh and I've been working a lot and I'm not very kind to my hands! So any scuffs on my nails is down to me being a klutz and not the product itself!

The great thing about Nail Rock is that it's virtually fool proof. All you need is your hair dryer and a decent nail file. You don't have to wait around for it to dry and it comes off again with a bit of heat.

On your fingers they last about a week and on your toes up to 8 weeks!!!! Jo had metallic gold on her toe nails and it looks amazing. Perfect for the party season ahead of us.

You can buy NAIL ROCK at TOPSHOP and at ASOS.

I am definitely going to buy more for myself.

LOVE NAIL ROCK!!!

I Heart H&M

When you are on a tight budget like me, H&M is my one stop destination. I get to keep my already bulging wardrobe up to date whilst not spending an absolute fortune! I am literally willing my first pay cheque into my bank account! But alas, the monies will not be accessible until the end of the month (SIGH!).
I'm already making a list in my mind of what I want to get/need! Part necessary for work (I feel like the un-fashionable pleb in my office at the moment....and I work in Fashion PR). So I need to be smart with my money!

All the above are available at H&M...not sure how much longer I can hold out to get paid!

Every little piece has a story......

I'm sure if you look through your wardrobe or your jewellery box, there are certain items you own that have a little story behind them. Some sad, some funny and some that make you cringe! Well today I was sorting out my jewellery and decided to take a few snaps of my favourite treasures, and I'll tell you the tales behind each piece.
This Hermes bracelet.......well....I was working in a pub a few years back and one night someone (a crazy person) left this behind. I kept it in the safe for a few months and no one claimed it! So.....finders keepers.
My mother gave me this ring on my 21st birthday. As you can see it has Sapphires (my birthstone). I rarely wear this ring because I'm too afraid to lose it!
Another ring given to me by my mother, this time on my 14th birthday. Again a Sapphire, but it's lost two of it's stones.
This jewellery box was given to me by an ex! I love it to pieces. The craftsmanship is beautiful.

I only received this piece of Amber about 4 days ago. A Colombian friend of mine gave it to me and I hope to have it made into a long silver pendant.
My Claddagh ring. It's part of a trio of Friendship rings.

This ring came as a bit of a surprise! When I met Tom (4 and a half years ago), he was about to go on holiday with his family. Two weeks later he came back with this ring. We weren't even officially "boyfriend and girlfriend". It was a lovely gesture and it has never left my right hand.

It's funny how each of the item's above document different times in my life. I'd love to hear about your personal treasures!

Congratulations are in order

Sarah Burton produced some exquisite pieces for the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2011 collection. She has definitely brought her own touch to the famous name and you can still see the "Lee" influence.
The collection still had the same beauty and imagination that we have grown to love, and still with the most amazing details and craftsmanship.
The same drama and opulence was definitely there. Sarah has definitely made her mark for the McQueen label. I do not believe she has filled Lee's shoes. Instead, her shoes rest comfortably alongside Lee's. The way it should be. I definitely think Lee is smiling.

So here's to Sarah and the future of McQueen!!

If you like shoes look here!

RED LONDON has a great selection of on trend party shoes, military style boots, wedges etc etc! And the best part of all is that they don't cost the earth! Which is something I highly favour on my press assistant salary :O) Here is a selection of my favourites!

Rihanna:Get The Look

Rihanna rocked up to BBC Radio 1 today sporting some bright colours (including her new hair do)! Quite refreshing from the boring "black" commuter looks you see in London during the Winter.

I've scoured the t'internet and found some pieces you can wear to recreate Rihanna's sunny look!
Trousers: MISS SELFRIDGE  £35
Jumper: DOROTHY PERKINS  £18
Shoes: KURT GEIGER £140
Hair colour: available from SUPERDRUG £4.79

What do you think of Rihanna's rainbow look in October?
